When a lover distances herself, the tension is almost at the physical level, because of the bond between them. I related to Adam at the time of my marriage as it dissolved. What if during Eve's temptation she avoided Adam's presence and hid her decision? Her unprecedented behavior troubles him. This was part of a series of work about divorce and recovery. I also wrote a song at the time relating to this. The chorus goes, "Like Adam in the garden, alone, when Eve had withdrawn. The silence could break the bones, as nighttime turns to dawn."
